Another Tired Chain-E-Mail: Liberal vs. Conservative

Sorry, I'm considered a liberal and:

• I don't want all guns outlawed, but I would like to see responsible gun ownership and production?
• I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't know any that want all meat banned.
• I don't know many openly gay people, liberal or conservative, but the ones I do know don't want legislated respect they just want the same initial respect we all do, mutual. It is oppression and discrimination that leads to the need for legislation.
• On the occasions that I have been down and out I've never wondered who was going to take care of me. I've worked for a paycheck since I was 15 years old. But I have seen many conservatives, who when they have been down-and-out, quickly turn to the systems that they routinely condemn when things aren’t going their way.
• As far as conservatives 'just turning the channel'. All I've heard from them for years is complaints and attempts to shut down the so-called 'bias liberal media' even when it included such stalwarts as Cronkite, Morrow, Brinkley and Pyle. If a bias media was condemned for so long by them then why do they now promote the equally bias conservative media such as Fox? To change your tune based on the slant of the 'bias' is making either the current or past argument hypocritical.
• If a conservative is a non-believer he doesn't go to church, but he surely condemns anyone else who doesn't.
• A conservatives view of health care is poor people either don’t need it, otherwise they could afford it or they could always just ‘change jobs’ in this robust economy.

Offended or not, I might not forward it, but I will happily respond.

  If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
• If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
  If a liberal is homosexual, he demands Legislated respect.
• If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
  A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
• If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
  Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
• If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
  A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
  (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)
• If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping
  for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
  A liberal demands that the rest of us should pay for his.
• If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
  A liberal will delete it because he's "offended".
